Playing soccer means competing to win. But there is more than just trying to be the best and score: Soccer means fairness, equality and team spirit. Attributes that every child must learn. Faces of Football is the opportunity for kids in Ghana to learn for life. To find a place where dedication and love counts more than just doing what you have to do. Petra Landers, the successful and famous former German Soccer player, is not only the patron of Ghanas first social soccer school: She is the coach, mentor and driver behind every camp, every training session and every child participating. The children play their favourite sport, they train and grow, yet the focus is not only on athletic attributes: The kids learn to grow as a team, respect and value each other. With the unique dedication of Petra Landers, her experience and social support, children join a camp to play soccer, but they leave with a lesson for life. They become a Face of Football!
Faces of Football - The Path
The path is the goal – That counts for many aspects of your life and especially for learning and working together. Petra Landers path started when she as a kid found out that soccer is her passion. She went through a professional career and now it’s time to give her passion, her experience – the sparks to those in need. In 2022, Petra is organizing her project from Germany, collecting supporters and partners. If you want to help or contribute, do not hesitate to contact us. Become a face of football! In 2023, Petra will move to Ghana and start working with her soccer school. First camps will be announced in late 2022. Faces of Football – The Petra Landers Soccer School is not about winning on the pitch – it is about winning in life! Being successful and scoring matters during the game and throughout your life. Petra Landers found her way during the early stages of womens soccer, she fought for her dreams and her passion. The goal of her soccer camps is to teach that to children. To show a perspective and to give children a voice. To empower girls to play soccer and to motivate boys to become teamplayer. To show a path in life and to teach about health and respect, but also to educate about prejudice, violence and abuse. Faces of football supports and encourages children, despite their background, age, gender or soccer skills. Let children come together – to learn, respect and thrive. From the pitch out to life.
