About Petra

Born in 1962 in Bochum, a working-class city in the heart of the German coal industry area, Petra Landers never was the „typical girl“. When others had their first Barbie doll, Petra was on the pitch and scored – against boys of all ages. Talented and with an insatiable drive to play and score, Petra quickly was the winning factor for her teams: The European Championship, the German Championship, the German Cup – and the Guiness World Record for playing the highest Women Match on the famous Kilimanjaro. And yet, Petra rerouted her path to a much higher goal: Helping kids in need. After several workshops and camps in Africa, she now feels the time has come. With Faces of Football – The Petra Landers Soccer School Petra turns her professional experience into a dedication. Equality, fairness and having dreams are not only attributes for professionals, but something that every child can and should learn. On the pitch and for life.
